Due to an error by the vendor that printed and mailed New Hanover County property tax bills, approximately 6,600 New Hanover County property owners who own more than one parcel in the county recently received duplicate bills in the mail.
Rather than sending a bill for each of the properties, the vendor sent multiple copies of the same bill, creating confusion for property owners. The error was identified, and those who received the incorrect bills will receive new bills this week with the corrected information and an explanation of the situation.
New Hanover County property owners who have questions about this or any other tax matter can call 910-798-7300. Taxpayers are able to pay taxes online by credit card from the website or by phone at 1-800-2PAY-TAX (1-800-272-9829).
